Pay Scales, day 1

We started a new unit today: Pay Scales. We discussed the following concepts:

• Gross Pay
• Salary
• Commission
• Piecework Pay

We discussed the various pay periods:

• Weekly
• Bi-weekly
• Monthly
• Semi-monthly
• Annually

We then calculated gross pay based on hourly pay and salary.

Homework: Book pages 55 and 56: #1 - 21
